Ahousaht Elder Amelia Barney has created the lovely cedar flowers gifts especially for the World Poetry Canada International Peace Festival participants. Cedar weaving using the bark from the cedar tree traditionally was used for clothing, hats and blankets, being water proof and light. It played a large part in the traditional life of the people; the cedar has as much importance as the eagle. Cedar was also used for cleansing and had a strong spiritual aspect. Robbie spoke about the therapeutic influence of rapping and poetry in his life and how it has empowered him in his life. He performs for youth with mental health issues and others as well. Guest host Oparin Ortiz spoke compared of some poems of poet Robert Frost to rap and a good discussion followed.The interview gave listeners a new appreciation of ?Ethical Rap? and it?s transformational abilities.

Fui nombrado Poeta Laureado, para el aniversario de los 100 años de Santo Tomas. Hasta este momento tengo escrito varios poemas en relación a la iglesia.
Ya tengo los pasajes comprados, son para el primero de Noviembre y le informo mi plan de viaje: Estaré leyendo mi poesía en el ?Proyecto Cultural Sur de Maracay?, Venezuela, el 5 de Noviembre y el 10 celebrando los 90 años de mi padre en ciudad Bolívar.
Después viajo a Chile donde asistiré a la conferencia ?Rencuentro? los días 22 al 25 de Noviembre, con escritores chilenos que viven en diferentes países. Luego me quedare para la Navidad y el Año Nuevo con mí viejita que tiene 88 años.
