There are literally thousands of free reciprocal link exchange programs available. I'm not kidding if I say that 99% of them are worthless. If you just started advertising your brand new web site on the internet you are wondering how this all works.

Some myths about web traffic:

You need as much traffic to your web site as you can get.	If you don't have targeted traffic, millions of hits won't increase your sales. You are wasting your bandwidth and your time.

I need to build my email list with as many email addresses and as fast as possible to advertise my web site.	Now that's spamming. No matter where you're getting these email addresses and your autoresponder provider closely follows the CAN SPAM rules. I actually drop my newsletter from being delivered by email. The newsletter is available on my web site only and announcements are made through my forum.

The last thing I want to create is a laundry list of all the available link exchange programs. I narrowed the list to the few I'm using and I consider worth the time you have to spend to get the best results.

Free Targeted Traffic

Did I mention that there is a method to generate targeted traffic without spending any money? Well here we go. If you ever heard of Google AdWords and Overture you know what I'm talking about. Pay-Per-Click search engines. Basically you pay for top rankings in the search engines base on keywords. Let me be a little bit more specific.

There are literally hundreds of new websites that are eager to become the next Google. What they are doing is to offer you pay-per-click performance for free. How come? Quite simple, to attract new customers they offer sign in bonuses. Typically you get your pay-per-click campaign for free worth $10-$50, depends on how eager the new webmaster is.

Now do the math. In my list there are 117 of these websites. They offer freebies for an average of $15. You set up an ad for as little as $.01 per click. This gives you 1,500 clicks per website times 117 websites. 175,500 targeted traffic hits for free. I know that's a little bit too optimistic, but even if you get only half of it it's worth the time spend to set it up.
